The most significat moment in history of all modern sports is when Jackie Robinson breaks the color barrier within Major Leage Baseball, taken the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field!! Jackie Robinson pave the way for other color stars such as Willie Mays, Roy Campanella, Bob Gibson, Roberto Clemente, Frank Robinson and Ernie Banks. Integrating sports was a battle in which Robinson endured, racial slurs, threats to his life and many pitches thrown at this head, but that did not stop him from making history within modern sports. Kobe Bryant.
Kobe!!!! Kobe!!!! Kobe!!!!....Widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players and socrers of all time. He was the first guard to be drafted by the NBA straight out of high school. Bryant went on to have a phenomenal career with the LA Lakers, winning five NBA Championships along with many other achievements. Kobe demonstrated self-confidence, laser focus on becoming one of the greatest basketball players to grace the NBA. He was an enigmatic figure with a legendary work ethic , unquestionable thirst and dedication for the game he loved. Kobe was basketball....basketball is Kobe! Derek Jeter.
One of the most admired and adored baseball player in his generation. Some even consider Jeter to be one of the best shortstop to ever played the game of baseball. Jeter was a big part of the Yankees dynasty in the 1990s, leading the team to win five championships. (1996,1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009.) From a very young age Jeter dream was to become the shortstop for the New York Yankees and play baseball in front of the best fans in the world (Yankees fans).
Jeter demonstrated tireless work ethic skills and great leadership on and off the field, leading the yankees on naming him the 15th Captain in Yankees history. Jeter had an phenomenal career in which he played 20 seasons with one single team and became the first yankee to hit 3000th hits!!
Ionic moments such as the flip to posada, dive into the stands, and the grandslam at midnight in game 4 of the world series in 2001 (Mr. November.) All contributed to Derek Jeter becoming one of the greatest baseball players in Yankees history.
